We were about to go on our big trip to Africa. All of us are very excited. Mom, dad, Zach, and I cannot wait. We can’t bring Snowy, our cute little dog. Tomorrow we will be off on our trip. We are packing at 7:46 at night when we have to get up at 4:00 in the morning. I don’t want to get up in the morning. Now we are on the plane. This morning we got up at 4:00. We are about to take off. Zach and I can play our new games on our Nintendo ds. We are about to land, but we have another plane. On the radio SpongeBob is singing a song. Now I’m really bored. I can tell the whole family is tired. We are all having a hard time because we are all so tired. Zach and I are okay because we have our new games. I got diddy Kong racing. It’s fun. I found a really cool radio station number 14. We are going to get to Zurich at 3:00. We’re finally at the hotel. The hotel people gave Zach and I each a puppy and pick- up sticks. We are not looking forward to that long plane to Africa, but we want to get there. We are now in Zurich. The people in Zurich speak German. We started our journey on mom’s birthday. We are staying at this hotel for 3 days. Day 1: Next we went downtown. We walked for 1 hour. We also rode trains and went to shops. The family except for mom and dad went swimming. Day2: After a while we took a trolley around town. It is a tour of Zurich. We heard what was historic through the headphones. Then some more fun comes, we go sightseeing on a boat. We explored the boat. That was fun. Then we went to a restaurant to celebrate mom’s birthday. It was called the Swiss churchi. Mom had a fondue. I didn’t really like it because it had alcohol in it. Day 3: The next morning we went down to get our breakfast. Then we went to the trolley area to get on a big tour bus. It took us an hour and a half on the tour. We got off the bus and went to Gondola, the flying ski lift.   It went high in the air and mom was really scared. It took 45 minutes to get halfway up the mountain. The next thing we went on was the train in the air. It held a lot of people, but it was in the air. That was pretty short. Next thing we did was explore around the mountain. We looked down and it was high. We were above the clouds. It was fun. Zach got a dog and I got a kitty. Then we went down the mountain in a train. When we got back down we went back into the same bus we had before. The bus took us back to the trolley area. Then we went to the hotel and went to a boat soon after. The next day we got packed up to go to Kenya. We next went to the shuttle and got to the airport. We got to go play in a playground in the airport. They had a spinner thing that you get on and spin. I enjoyed that.

Then we got on our flight. At 6:30 we got to Nairobi. We were so happy we were in Africa. Finally we got to the hotel. It was really fancy there. The hotel had a huge pool. The next day we went the giraffe center. We got to pet and feed them. We had breakfast in the hotel. It was a buffet. We met the tour guide. He went over what we are doing the whole time we are here. Then we went upstairs to get our cameras. Then we left the hotel in Johns van. The next day we got up and ready for the safari. We drove for 3 and a half hour. Then we got to lunch. Lunch tasted really good. Then we looked around. We saw wart hogs and went on a short animal drive. We saw giraffes, wart hogs, elephants, and baboons. We started driving to the ark. On the way, we saw a little leopard the ark is a center where in the middle of the night a buzzer goes off if unusual animals come. 1 = elephant, 2= lion, 3= leopard, and 4=rare animal. We stayed for one night. I didn’t really care for the food there. Next we went to an awesome hotel. It had double king sized beds, and 2 rooms, one for Zach and me and one for mom and dad. Zach and I got a closet, a bed with a television, and bath with toilet. They also had a pool and great food. They had bugs living there to.

The next morning we had breakfast at that great hotel. Then we were off to the next hotel. We then went looking for animals for 30 minutes. Then we got to the hotel and ate lunch. After lunch we went to an animal orphanage. It was so cool because we got to feed and hold wild animals. Then we went to see our little cottage. Zach and dad went horseback riding while mom and I stayed at the house. Mom and I were sitting, I was drawing and mom was reading. Then we went to the next hotel. It took 5 min. to get there. On the road we stopped at Thompson falls. We got snacks and waited for John to get on the road. Then for an hour and a half we drove to the hotel. It was the same one as last time, but nicer. Next we drove to lake Nakuru, then we saw flamingos, baboons, rhinos, and seagulls. That was so cool. Then we went back to the hotel and saw African dancers. Zach and I danced with them. The next day we had a long drive of 6 hours. We had 2 stops. Then we arrived at a tented camp. The tents were really fun. We only had the double room tent. That night we went on a night safari. I didn’t see the aardvark and some other animals because I fell asleep in the jeep. That was a cold night. Next we went on an early morning drive. We saw a lot of lions’ eating wildebeests’ We saw black rhino, lots of birds, and hyenas. After breakfast we went to the village. It was really fun ,but it was burning hot there. I had on long pants and it was hot. The people there build themselves houses out of mud and sticks. They drink blood and milk mixed together. We saw crocodiles in a river. We had lunch and swam in a pool. Then did some homework. We went on another safari and saw a cheetah eating a wildebeest. Then we did another early safari. We drove to Mara Sarova lodge and saw a lake with hippos in it. Next we drove to the airport to go home. Then after we landed in Nairobi we got to the hotel and took showers and did homework and rest.
